Welcome to A Hazelhurst ChristmasA Hazelhurst Christmas is an animated light display set to music in Ferndale, Michigan. As a way to celebrate the winter holidays we have set up a light display that you can drive up and park your car, tune your car radio to 91.3 FM and listen to the music while watching the lights dance to the beat. A blend of computer technology and high tech electronics give a spectacular result. The show has be seen on FOX 2 Detroit News and has been given a award from the Ferndale beautification commission. For the last 6 years we have put up lights on the outside of the house and we have always wanted to do a more dramatic display. Well after watching Carson Williams video I was hooked. So I began researching how to computerize my lights and finding out the cost involved. I settled on software from Light O Rama and control board kits from D Light. More info on how we did it is on the how to page and pictures will be on the photos page. News!Well the 2007 season is over and the lights have gone dark this year.
